Thank you for visiting our "About Us" Page.  Here, we hope that you will take the time to understand the dedication of our history, while at the same time feeling confident in your tent or tipi purchasing needs; whether first-time Customer or established Veteran..

It is not our intention to impress you with the romance of the tent, but rather to inform you of its purpose, construction, design, and function.  Mass production of some of these shelters, particularly the marquee, does not necessarily deserve the credibility that may be hastily bestowed upon those who are willing to prostitute a craft for a buck.  

We are concerned when we see hundreds of dollars spent and see discomfort and dissatisfaction that hundreds of people are experiencing every time they encounter any adverse weather conditions.  The marquee itself will probably be the biggest investment that you will make in your S.C.A. or muzzle loading activities other than a custom made suit of armor or flintlock rifle  It is unfortunate that some mass producers and part time builders, in most cases set the prices.

Here at Bill Walter Four Seasons Tentmasters, crafting and understanding the nature of Tents and Tipis is all we do, full time.  From needing an adjustable tent for a booth at a S.C.A or LARP event, to a personal residence while out on a hunting excursion or adventure, to partaking in the traditional ceremonies of Indian rituals, we most likely have something to suit your needs.

Our Founder Bill Walter has passed on, but those left behind continue to recreate his thoughtful and insightful designs with the same craftsmanship that was his passion.  The common thread is camping.  Camping, in all its many forms, remains a lifestyle for us as well.  That is why we will not compromise on quality.  That is why only one style of fabric is offered - the best.  Our sewing exceeds the strength of the fabric and we have decades-old tents out there in the world.
