Helpful Hints and Cleaning
Thank You for your purchase of a Four Seasons Tentmasters tent or pavilion! We hope you are having as much fun and comfort with your product as we do with ours during that long getaway or event.
Although we recommend patrons to consult their documentation first and foremost, we also post our helpful hints and cleaning page as an available reference in case the guide is not readily available. Understand that these tips are for general well-being of your tent, pavilion, tarp or enclosure and though thorough, do not cover every kind of circumstance you may encounter. Failure to follow many basic outlined tips on this page or in your guide however, will severely diminish the value and investment you have made in your product - please follow your care instructions, and your tent or pavilion will last for many many years!
Easy Set-Up Tips
First of all, "ALWAYS" use your high-wind lines. These serve two functions. They will be your second set of hands during set-up and they keep your tent from blowing away. |
(1) - Lay your ridge pole on the ground where you plan to set-up. |
(2) - Take the high wind line out and stand up your first up-right pole. Do this with the other up-right. |
(3) - You can now put the ridge pole onto the uprights. |
You have now established where your tent will stand. |
Take the frame down and slide the canvas onto the ridge pole. |
Stand up one end at a time, with a little practice it will get easier. |
When you have the canvas hanging and the high wind lines are tight you can flare the sides out and finish the set-up. |
The high wind lines can be left as they are or crossed against the roof of the tent for added security if you are expecting foul weather. |
Cleaning Instructions
Clean with clear water, using a clean brush that has never been used with soap. |
To remove mildew if it forms, use white vinegar. |
Use a pouncing motion, pulling the dirt or mildew into either a paper towel or a folded bath towel. |
To clean oil or soap off, use the same technique. |
Do NOT store damp or wet. |
Do NOT use solvents, soaps, or detergents. |
Do NOT use any aerosol cleaners. |
Do NOT use insect repellants directly on canvas. |
The use of any oil based product on your canvas (bug spray, suntan lotion, cooking grease, or lamp oil to name a few), will not allow the treatment to work as they are intended and the result will be a leaking tent. |
Proper care of your tent will ensure it will last you for many years. |
We use only Water Repellant, Flame Retardant, and Mildew Resistant fabric. We will not offer you anything less. |
